One Day More
It feels so good to be able to access the blog after a few days away. I just got back from a short trip back to Shanghai yesterday; apart from a renewed, infantile attachment to family and friends, I've also brought back a ridiculous phone case and (trying not to sound to crass here) some strange allergic reaction on my face. I realise it's not the end of the world but that's really not going to stop me from being a hermit for the next few days. It's not really detectable from the photo, which just comes to show that we really can't trust photography at all. It's all lies. I mean, think of how different people on magazine covers would look in real life.
Trying to muster the motivation to get through the next few weeks with a good attitude. I found that this can easily be achieved with a little help from the one and only: LES MIS SOUNDTRACK! 'Do You Hear the People Sing' definitely made trudging through the rain and wind a pleasurable, empowering experience yesterday. I've included what's essentially the most amazing version of the song on the right (actually - it's one of the best things ever of all time in the whole existence of the world). A lot of this attachment also stems from the fact that the album was basically on repeat in our flat after the film came out last year - so many good times.
Speaking of my best times from uni - two of my besties from St Andrews have started blogs. Please do check them out: Roseberry Rambles for those with wanderlust and An Existentialist for tech-savvy thinkers.
