Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes

I've always wanted to try a Lancôme Hypnôse mascara, so with the release of the x Alber Elbaz collection (collaboration with Lanvin's creative director), it seemed like the right time to make the jump. I went with the Doll Eyes because it promises "a volumized, extended and full lash fringe for a wide-eye look", which seemed appropriate for an everyday mascara.

I didn't get the waterproof verson, as I find them to be too difficult to remove at the end of the day. So to help hold the curl, I first applied a mascara base (I recommend the Majolica Majorica Lash Bone Black Fiber).

The mascara didn't disappoint and does lengthen and separate quite well. Another coat applies with minimal clumping for more volume. I love the cone-shaped wand; it really does help with the corner and lower lashes. Overall, it's a great everyday mascara, but at HKD$250 (USD$27), I feel that there are equally good high street dupes (i.e. Maybelline the Falsies)
